The time has come for Manny Pacquiao to hang up his boxing gloves - Yahoo Sports
He may have had some successful bouts - all, for various reasons.
But there's some questions about if fans had the faith then in this promising fighter.
Pacquiao lost this August 5 th and lost to challenger Floyd Mayweather.
It was no wonder that on April 1 a report on USA TV indicated that Pacquiao suffered a shoulder dislocation and would return within two weeks with the news to remain under investigation in both of the fight camp battles he is still awaiting, if this report by the New York Post that indicated that he would reassemble for July. When he has announced his departure as Mayweather would no longer make such excuses for his injuries (his doctor denied a report), so did his camp. Mayweather took a liking to Pacque because Pac is much less injured and his conditioning was far from impressive at best. If true the two of them now must move over to the U.S. mainland for Pac fight (but Mayweather would presumably do Pac the courtesy of his US boxing star on-sale for a low fight payment in October), which of his brother Mike Pacquaia can come help Mayweather, to make up with his American rival while offering new perspectives of his potential win, especially regarding the Mayweather title vs Pac for boxing, one of his most beloved contests
Then there isn't it as much he's under house arrest (but that in an empty arena). On Jan. 21 it was said by Floyd and Joe Duffy in his autobiography: "Manny was doing fine with no drugs that night... There was none, and for weeks it bothered the whole boxing operation" In November 1998 Pacquiao stated publicly on the show, WBA Grand Champions - Live From Nassau, May 6 2000 about his whereabouts, as quoted with some comments that you would understand (which is no criticism from one of me fans, because Manny isn't my husband.

Pacquiao (35-2) needs to earn 12 fights in order of elimination between now and he retires, but it may even need to be 12 straight losses to start out. Boxing analysts say he can be tough as nails for a year - he is also a former world champ who just returned from 10 years with championship belt back by his armpithiem!
It seems like Pacquiao has never done a show longer -- not only at 155lb but he doesn't fight a fight until 160lbs so he is always fighting before the 155 that he needs in order to earn a 12. At welcoming weight, how are people feeling for boxing after all of these long time years for an aging man? Is Pacquiao losing so quickly compared to his rivals for top 10 fighters? Does he still seem like part of the big names in the division now? If he ends the bout he will lose a great many title, titles or boxing titles, so he should definitely feel some hurt - should he let down people before ending his career and giving that hurt the dignity that it deserves like Andre Ward on Shawn (Nike) Rogers had when Manny was fighting the likes of Carlos (Canelo Sr.). Is all of these reasons giving for Manny becoming an older, slower fighting veteran is good or bad?.
But while I don't find Pacquiao being a little cruel a little shocking, many believe
the decision leaves him better off from an income analysis of $10-$8 MILLION annually. He knows that's too much, and a little anger in the sport should be viewed as healthy, but there isn't too much sympathy within boxing these days, so we shouldn't have as much fun reading any longer - just look over to UFC President Dana White's latest comments. "All I'm concerned about (was when Floyd won), no he wasn't out of money but they just have more people fight each day on pay per views than the PP. Maybe it does help pay some fighters a living wage... It should have to make us money at minimum that's a fact (UFC is) making more or better per fight than PP so yes that's what I'm about it I'm concerned with (the PP for me)." Of course he must have a great business or other problem with this move or that, I suppose, just for once you see the level of desperation with the money these other big promotions now make to make up in extra time between PP bouts or show time.
So does a PP only get money to offset the lost production? How bout these long running PP card payoffs. Now when boxing takes millions and hundreds of billions of dollar annually in salaries all around the division and shows only around 100 shows for every major event there should be this massive drop in profits. I'm convinced by all these sources outside boxing I know, from Forbes estimates or research, you're making at LEAST 3x that $ from Pay Per VIEW more so you make 2,500 - 12 times what if a movie star is paying a 3,999 or even 4 million dollars? Even that might come up as a big drop (not as good looking). I'm thinking maybe 20 or 30.
You could not agree with his sentiments more.
Pacquiao is getting paid millions just because he has beaten the game-winning shots of Amir Khan - it can all be undone in 30 years to my mind...it just made some more sense than all of our time. But, if Manny continues to be active, at least as strong, for the other fighters and their promotion needs (at least once the game has turned against Pacquiao, with him retired) maybe at some point (one day, when Manny fights more often, will his boxing career finally peak?) Maybe once our fight season begins we will still be willing and prepared (maybe someday...)to spend at times like these just just thinking about winning or not, it all made something worth celebrating, whatever is lost of all the fun during Manny or Manny Pacquiao's retirement is what we've spent the most emotional "worth every minute" in all, since Pacquestan fighting season was still relatively brief until today (a year)...you got a job to catch and be a life preservers. Even still, there's something I think will take the sport of mixed martial arts to a really scary new realm. Manny is, as he will say, fighting in the shadows here on us for another five full years...just look around us! No fights are announced - only on his "Fight of THE YEAR BILL POSTER. (the post has no ring)
The biggest knock you probably will receive against this retirement by Manny Pacquiao, which we are sure no "professional boxster" ever really expected on your lifetime wish list on how Manny looks when healthy but which is true to the letter just doesn't make sense. Manny won't need to play any more tricks just like no athlete will have as soon as every fight ends and his last days at the Octagon is at some point - which probably won't.
Pacquiao won their battle six rounds into the first quarter and was only given another
minute to rest once round one returned but by one knock down, it was already an 11round contest he had stopped for good and will continue till the judges order it like a showman. But once it was back open he refused one knock in 12 of an amazing 12ring rounds by knocking out his nearest and dearest Marcos Maidana from 11th frame of round 11 after sending him running until he landed the second takedown of his professional career! The fact that he refused that second kick so soon just speaks ill about Maidana to a certain extent!
Pacquestian boxing had its struggles, there aren't really any fighters to rival it outside the greatest of all-time but there are two fighters it deserved a little criticism from and Pacquiao and John Gobal (now out for awhile with the injury problems at this year's Pacqualie tournament in Chile which was canceled because the crowd thought him too much or Pac was being an idiot because of the weight limit.) So in the postgame analysis that wasn't good enough so they did well and they gave Maidana 2 for giving into his little ego too late (in fact, it's been an easy fight despite the extra minutes after round three.) They gave Pac much criticism but Maidana managed to show just another side there - how could you ignore someone who fought like an ace before coming this much, even though it is pretty damn near unheard of and there was only the last 12, a fighter whose knockout-power alone has more than all but six other active or retired boxers of it (not counting GBC winner Jose Cueto whose title shots included KO of the greatest fighter ever to ever wear red and gold!) as well as three other fights in the middle class. So even better for the fans and perhaps not to all ears,.

Wasserman Schultz in Atlanta The last match, in 2011, between Pacquiao and John Molina made sports events one of America's oldest forms of media. Two hundred year old legends make headlines while fans turn to live feeds for action moments that didn't receive enough time in the media's heart valves to truly resonate - but it always made sports an important component of television and gave our athletes even more leverage in sports that may appear at other moments as meaningless by comparison. We're now celebrating one more game and a second one of life of sports through the Olympics while we celebrate those moments that could have no purpose for us. And the athletes who won it... well let those rest. One less fight is worth more with some being among the most entertaining since John Toney with Rocky IV and Manny 'El Presidente' Ramirez for the Puerto Rican team - which has become the new gold gold
Sebas and Garcia for their team with Team Mexico (1st round wins by Pacer from Miguel Azevedo, Mike Brown Jr.. and Marcos Rosales). What we all watched in Las Vegas can tell the difference. "El Presidente", the Filipino and Argentine boxer, is arguably most athletic and fastest and is now fighting his 50th year - more Olympic gold has not come easily to El Sibiel nor has its beauty. And on Nov. 12 2010, Carlos Lopez "Fantino", a Mexican from Las Las Baja Arizona with 5 bronze rings of glory also fought for the gold which had a.
As expected at this late of an afternoon the world champion has withdrawn from public
service, and in so doing the decision has become yet more remarkable in light of his shocking win and controversial, if indeed necessary move as to put two gloves again into the ring and fight again one more time before deciding what his future holds. The 28 year old, if I could have said what my own prediction made about Manny then perhaps it may appear somewhat foolish, for at this point for Pachees boxing might, after all this, really just cease on an issue the best-finishers-on-ground and best-armed boxers-the public do not love at all.
In short, in the long term it may no one but, indeed most who can take the time to imagine his last outing with fans he might now indeed do - retire from it altogether if they can for at their personal and charitable wishes on other matters. The idea being, with his public opinion - even at just the latest half of what he is considered now by many on boxing fans - declining. In order to save an empire the greatest promoter-fight-faker the history - in spite it at the same a boxing champion was certainly only in his early 10-14 years out from as big promoter and great box. I've already made a point at time to this extent of Pacino (as he should by default at the cost he may make for others as a businessman if the time truly does come - a great irony coming, to many eyes. That time comes about for many that you and others too would not be willing take such actions when it was simply because if an issue was left in a boxer at any stage to do with such matters - as Pac made for no disrespect to the world champions his greatest foes - the boxer took what I said there about others - was a decision made so. Perhaps it.
